The first China's favorite, Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng decided to withdraw from Djarum Indonesia Open Premier Super Series due to Cai's injury. The information received right after a managerial meeting that held at Sultan Hotel, Monday evening (11/6).
Cai/Fu were the last year's champion, where they succeeded in forcing their junior Chai Biao/Guo Zhendong to surrender in two games straight 21 - 13 and 21 - 12. Despite their absence, Cai/Fu will still be in Jakarta to comply BWF regulation on top 10 players for premier level super series.
Besides Cai/Fu, some athletes have to cancel their roles in the event;a young doubles from Thailand Isaara Bodin/Jongjit maneepong are
reported to withdraw from the competition due to injury issues they have dealt with since couple of weeks ago in Thailand Grand Prix Gold.
Korea too will not send Ha Jung Eun due to injury, as a result, she has to be out from women's doubles with Kim Min Jung, and from mixed doubles with Lee Yong Dae. While in singles, Pi Hongyan from France and Marc Zwiebler from Germany too will not join the campaign to bring US$ 650.000 home.
