Tine Baun was on a high on Saturday when she claimed another European title. On Thursday, she was brought down to earth by a Chinese youngster who knocked her out of the Yonex India Open in New Delhi.

Joining her on the sidelines is crowd favourite and former winner Saina Nehwal, who also lost in straight games to leave the home fans disappointed. Chen Xiao Jia, who stunned the field in last week’s Badminton Asian Championships (BAC) by reaching the semi-finals, turned on the style once again to oust Baun, in straight games.
